More about Friends Junior Committee
...and why you should get involved!

Who We Are

Friends Junior Committee (FJC) is a community volunteer organization with more than 150 active members benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. FJC comprises young professionals in the Atlanta area who are interested in donating their time, talents and ideas to benefit the patients and families of CHOA.

To empower and develop young professional leaders to make a difference in the lives of children through fundraising, volunteer service and social networking.

Friends Junior Committee (FJC) is one of more than 30 community Friends groups in Atlanta that support CHOA through volunteer service, fundraising and advocacy. Friends is the umbrella volunteer organization of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta but FJC differentiates itself from the other groups in the following ways:

  • FJC is the only Friends group that is dedicated to and comprised of young professionals in their 20's and 30's.
  • FJC provides fun and interactive opportunities to volunteer at both of CHOA's hospitals.
  • FJC offers the widest variety of activities and ways to get involved to support its mission.
  • FJC attracts members from the entire Atlanta area rather than a specific neighborhood.
  • FJC maintains its own website and operates independently to sustain and grow its organization.
